Week 9: 100 Word Statement
Materials in Expression
Materials do not only play an important part in demonstrating structure, but they also allow us to express the atmosphere of the space to the given audience. The various ways that materials can be combined conveys different moods within the space, leading the beholder to experience the environment within a new perspective. For instance, in the render below the materials used were white jade, green jade and white-washed timber. The combination of the jade and timber radiates a soothing atmosphere which invites the audience to dwell into the calmness and explore the surrounding environment with the newfound feeling. Overall, the materials achieved in developing a unique tranquil atmosphere which will influence the way the individual perceives the space.

Week 8: Photoshop Render of Model
Renders

Render 2
The goal of Render 2 was to provide an earth feeling to the room, Using a colour palette within the brown to orange frame my motive was to reflect the natural hues of a mountain environment into the interior.

Render 3
During this render the image and feeling of being in the sky was behind the chosen materials. With the hues of a pink and blue sunset sky the materials reflected a tranquil feeling. The timber flooring was chosen to add natural elements in order to bring a connection to nature.

Connection of Materials to Self
With all the combination of materials I have chosen I aimed to bring in the natural environment inside this is because I am constantly inspired the natural environment and when I am exploring within nature my perspectives change as well as mood depending on the given space. As such, in all of my renders there was an aim to use the materials that radiate the feelings I experience in the outside to the interior.
Reflection
Render 1 was the first render I completed. During this render I struggled with adding dimension to the materials in order for it to be more realistic. However, I developed further skills and shortcuts in creating clipping mask which assisted in creating the final image.
In the second render, there was an improvement in creating a window effect with the environment and through experimenting with the lighten and darken tool I was able to create the shadows projected from the screens in my model.
For the final render, which is the best in my opinion I gained further experience with using the darken not to only create shadows but develop dimensions to the stairs and space. When rendering the window I discovered the gradient too which assisted in giving a more realistic window as well as the dissolve option to blend the original reflection into the render.
Render 1 aimed to capture a cool environment of the forest. By using colours in the grey scale it helped out in bring the atmosphere of the forest and bringing the coolness of the outside within whilst providing a sleek look.

Week 8: Fusion 360 Render
Design 1: Conflict
My first design aimed at the conflicts that my inner self experiences. Looking through the front which is the 'V' the glossy pink and red material invites you to explore with only a hint of a dark matte colour. However, as you looked through the 'N' side the atmosphere is uninviting due to the dark hues and the matte material which reflects little to no light.
Design 2: Tranquility
For Design 2, I explored tranquility. Tranquility was always an interest for me the different teachings and environments which are aimed leading individuals to a state of calmness with no anger. The jade material reflects the soothing atmosphere while the timber indicates the natural environment, which combined together radiates a soft a aura to the eye.
Design 3: Hope
For Design 3, I aim to reflect people view of me as an optimistic person. On the outside I used a rough paint textured in combined with a dark granite stone in order to radiate darkness. For the inside i used a mirror and glossy yellow paint to represent despite darkness flooding the mind there is always a tiny hope that is unknown.

Week 7: Handmade Model of Fusion 360
Creation of Handmade Model
Progression of Model
The material chosen to create the 3D Space Model was the cardboard from a cereal box. This material was chosen as it is more rigid in comparison to paper yet the ease in cutting the shapes was similar to of paper.

Week 7: Light and Scale
Experimentation with Light
Prior to creating a refined model of my room, I experimented with light in order to achieve the best final model which will highlight the main light features. These experimented included:
Manipulation and Bending of Light
In this experiment, I observed the way light bends and by moving the walls created to explore how light travels and can be manipulated when objects and the source of light are orientated in different positions.
First Source
Light interaction with Cut Outs and Patterns

Light and Shadows Casted on Varied Heights
For this model, I experimented how light is projected with objects at various heights and the way objects change the shadows that are casted on each object.

From this experiment, I was able to discover the way that light weaves and bends through various patterns and cut outs allows unique projections when light is angled at various positions.
